Michael Bennett Kress has been creating images professionally for over 25 years. Michael began his career as a commercial and advertising photographer but after numerous requests to photograph social events, the direction of his career became very clear.

Michael has an intuition that allows him to anticipate and respond to the spontaneity of social events. He captures precious moments lost to many others. His talent allows an instant emotional connection to his clients and what these events mean to them. He is a Life-Cycle photographer, covering Bar/Bat-Mitzvahs for children of past wedding clients and weddings of previous Bar/Bat-Mitzvah clients.

Winner of the Washington, DC International Special Events Society (ISES) award for “Best Wedding Photography” seven of the last ten years, it is the emotional connection that has driven Michael’s work. His clients will attest, Michael’s work is creative and represents a true reflection of the joyous celebrations he covers.

Michael has grown his business to now include seven full-time photographers with a range of styles and prices. While Michael has embraced new technologies over the years to keep pace with his evolving industry, the creative eye behind the camera has never changed.

Michael is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS in Photographic Sciences and is a member of the International Special Events Society.
