February24th
Every once in a while we photograph a wedding whose Bride and Groom have to overcome adversity. Joann and Daniel have had many life lessons but on Feb 6th, 2010 “Mother Nature”gave them a reality check: “The Blizzard of 2010.”
This great couple has had enough life lessons to know what is truly important, and celebrating their love, with their family all around them was all they needed. So yes, there were major set backs like a tree falling through a spectacular tent that Gala Events had set up beautifully. Yes many guests could not attend because of the sever weather, but Joann and Daniel were going to get married and nothing was going to prevent it.
Thanks to Occasions Catering for making sure everyone ate great food. Glad we were able to share this memorable experience with Blue Sky Films. Special thanks to my photographic team Susan Pleiman and Shmulick Almany who knew shooting this event was not a one day event but created some gorgeous shots. So enjoy Joann and Daniel’s day with them as we did.

The grand opening celebration of the W Hotel in Washington, DC was a hit! The 90-year-old structure has been transformed by acclaimed designer Dianna Wong who was inspired by its Beaux Arts architecture. The lavish party was infused with bright colors, contemporary styling and glamorous people with a surprise performance by six-time Grammy Award winning artist John Legend. Among other celebrities and VIPS in attendance was actress and singer-songwriter Emmy Rossum and President Obama’s aide, Reggie Love.
A Wonderful time was had by all!

David Tutera’s My Fair Wedding Premiere
Posted in: Articles, Associates, MBK, the Studio
I had the pleasure of attending the premiere party of My Fair Wedding, a reality TV show hosted by a dear friend of mine, David Tutera. This incredible undertaking began with a bang at Gotham Hall in NYC with up and coming musical talent: Nuttin But Strings who performed at the fashion show for David’s stunning new wedding gown line for Faviana.
After the fashion show, guests were treated to a screening of season two’s first episode, champagne, dessert and laughs all around with the phenomenal Tutera team.
